IPv6 Foundations Lab.
Router: FRR | Client: Linux | Server: Linux.
These labs are designed to provide hands-on experience with essential IPv6 configuration and management tasks. Through a series of structured exercises, you’ll work directly with routers, hosts, and DNS servers while implementing various IPv6 addressing schemes, from basic static configuration to advanced automatic provisioning methods.
- Enable IPv6 routing on network devices
- Configure DNS resolution for IPv6 addresses
- Implement SLAAC for host configuration
- Configure and verify DHCPv6 operations
- Set up prefix delegation
OSPF Lab.
Router: FRR | Client: Linux | Server: Linux.
This hands-on laboratory session focuses on configuring and verifying dual-stack (IPv4/IPv6) multi-area OSPF routing. Participants will work with a pre-configured OSPFv2 environment and implement additional routing configurations.
- Configure multi-area OSPF routing in a dual-stack environment
- Verify routing functionality across different areas
- Work with pre-configured OSPFv2 settings
- Implement and test OSPFv3 for IPv6 routing
BGP Lab.
Router: FRR | Client: Linux | Server: Linux.
This hands-on laboratory session focuses on configuring and verifying inter-domain routing using Multiprotocol BGP (MP-BGP). Participants will work with both IPv4 and IPv6 protocols while learning essential BGP concepts and best practices.
- Configure BGP routing protocols across multiple Autonomous Systems
- Implement and verify IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity
- Set up iBGP and eBGP sessions between PE (Provider Edge) and CE (Customer Edge) routers
