I have had one of the best few hours learning IPv6.. thanks mate..
Explanation by relevant examples and role-plays are helpful to understand the theory
I enjoyed learning IPv6 during AFRINIC Academy’s “Zero to Certified IPv6 Engineer in 21 Days ” workshop over the past three weeks.
The workshop explained how network engineers can plan their IPv6 network and the various techniques and strategies that operators and Internet Service Providers can utilize to transition their networks from IPv4 to IPv6.
I am glad that I managed to complete the workshop despite the limited time and extensive content 😀
I also hope we can start the transition to IPv6 soon in Sudan, as we are lagging in this.
Awesome week of IPv6 Foundations and IPv6 Routing training for an awesome group of engineers.
Ten (10) days of some really great knowledge transfer and engagement based on the AfriNIC Academy’s IPv6 training curriculum.
All thanks to Mukom Tamon Adebowale Aduloju and the IPv6Froum leadership Latif Ladid Latif Ladid IPv6 Forum. You made this possible!!!
The team was great…few glitches on the platform but overall the training was perfect. More clarity and more demonstration need. Keep the good work ,a great team indeed

I am happy to announce that I have successfully completed the AFRINIC 21-day IPv6 workshop offered by AFRINIC Academy and earned my certificate! 🥳 This comprehensive training covered several advanced topics, including:
1. IPv6 Foundations
2. Configuring Basic IPv6
3. Creating the Perfect IPv6 Address Plan
4. Mastering Neighbour Discovery Protocol
5. Provisioning IPv6 Configuration
6. Implementing IPv6 Routing
7. Mastering IPv6 Transition Mechanisms
I look forward to applying these skills as I advance in my networking career!
I was ranked as a top trainee out of 1,008 participants from across Africa in the “Zero to hashtag#IPv6” course offered by AFRINIC Academy .
At least @AFRINICAcademy appears to be on the ball with v6, they’re running loads of courses on it. I think the key is more apps designed for IPv6-first, and using clear and concise error messages to shift the blame for “why IoT no work” to the lazy ISPs.
My background in telecommunications, software development, and lifelong learning made it easy for me to enroll in the workshop, where I acquired vital IPv6 knowledge. The modular arrangement with exams at the end of each module was particularly appealing.
Each module addressed a specific aspect without any rated above others, and the well-grounded instructors made the learning experience comprehensive and engaging.
This workshop elevated my IPv6 knowledge and confidence. I gained so much that I recommend it to networking professionals and technical leaders dealing with Internet Protocol (IP) addresses.

FAQ
How much does this cost me?
The entire self-paced training is FREE ($0.00). The live sessions led is FREE ($0.00)
What certificate will I get?
- Certificate of completion from AFRINIC for completing all the lessons
- Certified Engineer (Silver) from the IPv6 Forum upon passing the exam
Is the IPv6 Forum certification exam free too?
No! It’s $100, but during these 21 days, if you’re on track, you might win discounts (up to 100%) to take the exam … so it could be free.
But you do know that exams are not a test of skill right?
Yes, we do, and we like people like you, so we have another option. If you can prove that as a result of this training, you successfully enabled IPv6 in your network, you’ll get the certification without writing the exam. Here are the things that qualify;
- Deploy IPv6 to a test VLAN in your network
- Deploy IPv6 to one customer of your network
- Enable IPv6 on your website
- Enable IPv6 on your DNS infrastructure
But hasn’t IPv6 failed after 20 years?
That’s what we tell people we don’t like too . For people we care about, we say … the best time to deploy IPv6 was yesterday; the second best time is now.
